the ongoing project
This project explores how reality can be perceived through a connection with the inner world. Inner mythology functions here both as a form of support and as a tool for living through anxiety and instability. Formally, the project investigates the canvas as a working surface, reflecting fragmented perception and the difficulty of grasping large-scale processes as a single whole. At this stage, the project includes one completed work and a series of preparatory studies for future pieces.
oI think of portraiture as a way of seeing: an optic based on sustained attention that can be applied to anything. A portrait is a method of immersing oneself in reality through a subject. It is a result of a unique, intimate connection, that offers the opportunity to approach the subject as closely as one dares.
